Hello there friends and Happy Thursday! Today I’m excited about sharing with you one of my favorite projects to date. Pallet wood tables, yup that’s right pallet furniture. I worked on this project with my wonderful brother in-law who is so talented in woodworking. If you look on Pinterest (I’m sure you do) you can find a gazillion great pallet projects and I love me a good pallet project. Here I was looking at some pallet table ideas on Pinterest and came across so many that I liked, but I wanted something rustic that would fit in with my farmhouse style. After lots of searching I began to pin the ones I really loved and asked my brother in-law if he would make them for me. Now I love creating things and I love making pallet projects, but making furniture is out of my league; therefore, I go to talented people who are nice enough and willing to make them for me. Guess what? He agreed and I sent him the pins of the ones I loved for my living room. Low and behold he did it, he made me a side and coffee pallet table. I was in LOVE with how they turned out. Here are the pics of the tables:
Here is the finished project of the side pallet table all stained and painted.
Now moving on to the pallet coffee table, here is the pic of that one.And this is the finished product all stained and painted as well.
Remember when I mentioned in an earlier post that I refreshed my whole downstairs by painting it grey. As you can see in the pics the before green sage color and now the grey one. Boy it sure looks a lot better in that grey! Anyway, here’s a pic of both tables in my living room.
I got to say that brother in-law of mine sure knows how to make something beautiful out of old pallet wood. Now if I could just get him to make me a console table I’d be super duper happy:) Here are the details on the materials I used to finish the tables. I used Minwax Mission Oak satin stain, and white chalk paint on both tables. I also gave them both a coat of wax to set in the paint and stain. I love how they turned out and I especially like that rustic look they give to my living room. So what do you think? Do you also like pallet furniture? Share with me your love for all things pallet wood, rustic design and farmhouse style. Until next time my friends.
